The Spanish Women's u20 squad seeks a place in the World Cup final in their match against host side, France

August 20th at 19:30 CET against France. The exact same time, date and rival as the match in Belfast.

The only difference is the location: Vannes, in Brittany, in France and the category of the competition. From the EURO final to the Women's U20 World Cup semifinals, a first for the Spanish squad.

After knocking out the South American, Asian, North American and African sides, the European squad wants to make their World Cup dream come true.

France, led by Gilles Eyquem, has become a close opponent for the Spanish team, where they succumbed in the penalty shoot-out of the U-17 semifinal of 2015, who they beat in the U19 EURO final of 2016 in a tight fashion and was defeated in a new duel for the continental title just a year ago in Belfast.

After the last three years in semifinals and finals of European championships, French and Spanish sides will fight for the World Cup title

An old rivalry between players who know each other perfectly and who this Monday (7:30 pm) will fight for a place in the final of the World Cup next Friday.

Ona Batlle had to leave the training camp due to injury and Lucía Rodríguez - who was sidelined in the quarterfinal against Nigeria- has recovered well and will be available to the coach.

France are a solid block, who have only conceded one goal in the four matches thus far, and who defeated the almighty North Korean side.

The Spanish side is aware of their opponent's strengths but mainly aware of everything they are capable of and the support of thousands of fans following the match from home.

The chance, historic regardless of the turn out, is a great moment in Women's football. The road from Belfast to Vannes has the aim of reaching the final of the Women's U20 World Cup. The only obstacle in the way is a semifinal.
