MATCH REPORT | Spain U19s held to a 1-1 draw with Czech Republic

Ciudad del Fútbol 30 Ene 2018
Spain were forced to settle for a point in their Atlantic Cup opener

Spain took time to compose themselves and settled into the game, controlling much of the possession early in the first half. They rapidly gained confidence, passing the ball maturely and frequently pressing the Czechs in their own half.

Luis de la Fuente's men looked to be on their way to victory after Ferran Torres put the Spaniards in front in the early stages of the first half.

Unfortunatly 19 minutes later Michal Salidek ensured the Czechs took a share of the spoils after an entertaining game with both sides attacking each other at will.

The two teams had opportunities to take the three points, with Ferran and Mboula coming closest in the second period.

But in the end, neither side could break the deadlock and it ended in stalemate.
